What is a PE Tarpaulin?
A PE tarpaulin is a tarp made from polyethylene (PE) material. It’s a common waterproof, dustproof, and UV-resistant fabric widely used in industries such as agriculture, construction, and transportation.
1. Material Composition
A PE tarpaulin is usually a three-layer laminated structure:

Middle layer: Woven high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fabric for strength and tear resistance.

Outer and inner layers: Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) coating that provides waterproofing, UV protection, and aging resistance.

3.Quality Highlights of Our PE Tarpaulin

Higher Weaving Density —-Our PE tarpaulin is made with high-density HDPE woven fabric (≥14×14 threads per square inch), providing much better tensile strength and tear resistance than ordinary tarpaulins (usually 10×10 or 12×12). It remains firm and durable even under heavy use or strong winds.

Thicker Double-Sided Coating—-We use high-purity LDPE coating on both sides, with a thicker and more uniform layer (up to 0.08 mm+, compared with the standard 0.05 mm).This ensures long-lasting waterproof protection — the surface stays smooth, flexible, and crack-free even after prolonged outdoor exposure.

UV-Resistant & Anti-Aging Formula—-Our material includes UV absorbers and anti-oxidation additives, greatly extending the tarp’s outdoor lifespan — up to 12–24 months compared with around 6 months for regular PE tarps.Perfect for tropical climates and high-UV regions.

Reinforced Edges & Heat-Sealed Seams—-Each tarp features double-layer reinforced edges and heat-sealed seams with high-strength rope inside, providing over 30% better tear and tension resistance than stitched seams.This prevents delamination and leakage, ensuring long-term waterproof performance.
